My daughter's Kindergarten class studied patterns last month.  One of the art project presented by their teacher was melting patterns of crayons on canvas.

She even turned one upside down and had the children add buttons for flowers.

This one is my favorite.  I love rainbows and I love the blocks of color made by using multiple same color crayons together on the canvas.  My daughter's teacher used a regular hair dryer.  Apartment Therapy has a tutorial on the process.

My three year old is on track break right now with his public preschool.  He has the entire month of November off.  I'm enjoying our mommy and me time.  When he is in school there is a lot more running around, and in turn, a lot more tears.  So although there has been less solo 'me' time, I'm enjoying reading a lot more.  I'm smack dab in the middle of the Hunger Games trilogy right now which means I have 6 piles of laundry waiting to be done on the floor of my room, and I have no idea what is for dinner.

  2. I tried to read this earlier today at the office, but because of all the filters/firewalls and that garbage, I couldn't get the pics to come up.

    Now, I'm home.

OH MY GOD! That is awesome!

I about to go read your tutorial to see if it's anything I might can possibly do without destroying anything within arms reach.
