One of my favorite pieces I've refinished is a hundred dollar china cabinet from a thrift store in Las Vegas.

Small Buffet Cabinet/ Oversized Nightstand

I'm always on the look out for furniture that's asking for a make-over. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I found this piece at a local thrift store and imagined that it could look sweet painted white for her room. I was not in need of a changing table since I had a dresser in her closet for this purpose, so there were no prerequisites for height or width and when I came across this unusual buffet cabinet I decided it had to me mine. It is now used as an over sized night stand in my bedroom and I love it.

Chandelier Makeover
As I was clicking through some blogs I love to peruse, I came across fun chandelier before and after photos. I'm hoping to soon replace my entry way chandelier and repurpose it as a light in my art studio. My plan is to paint it glossy lime green, and the little shades, black. These photos from Design Sponge are a great inspiration for my upcoming project. Now if I could just find a replacement light in my entry way we could get this ball rolling!

Halloween Decorating
Halloween is a special Holiday for me. My birthday is 2 weeks before and so growing up I had Halloween birthday parties and have always enjoyed dressing up both myself and my home. I wish I had pictures of the grave headstones I made out of styrofoam for the front yard when I was in high school. Gotta love the big classy decorations but honestly you can't pick those up for too cheap even at Home Goods. Yes there are great sales on November 1st but who's really in the mood to spend money on Halloween decorations when it's November. One thing I did shop for on November 1st last year was princess costumes from target for my daughter for a Christmas gift. At 50% off, show up early and you'll have a huge selection of make believe clothes for your kids!
