So this is the first year we've hung a wreath on our front door.  Those over the door wreath hooks?  Well, we aren't fans as they can leave your door scared with chips and dents in the wood and paint.

Simple Owl Costume Tutorial - Happy Owloween!

The following is a tutorial for an owl costume.  It is fairly simple and easy to put together.  Perhaps if I was able to work on it for more then 15-30 minutes at a time, it wouldn't have felt like it took for-EVA!.  It's definitely not as fast as the similar Bat Costume. But I finally did get it finished and it is adorable!  Who could resist a three year old asking to be an Owl for "Owloween"?

Halloween Decorating

Halloween is a special Holiday for me. My birthday is 2 weeks before and so growing up I had Halloween birthday parties and have always enjoyed dressing up both myself and my home. I wish I had pictures of the grave headstones I made out of styrofoam for the front yard when I was in high school. Gotta love the big classy decorations but honestly you can't pick those up for too cheap even at Home Goods. Yes there are great sales on November 1st but who's really in the mood to spend money on Halloween decorations when it's November.
